In the year 2030, will we see The Fast and the Furious #25? With so many sequels and due to its box office success, The Fast and the Furious franchise is a humming along like a brand new muscle car with no end in sight.
With hundreds of incredible vehicles featured through the years, it’s difficult to pick the top five, but here goes, brought to you by Painters Collision Centers. We see many of these cars in magazines and also in person on the roads of Arizona and every time they always have that wow factor.
Here is our list of the most awesome cars in the movie series:
1.) 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
At the beginning of “Tokyo Drift,” Boswell drives a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with style and panache. Despite capturing a fairly close race against a first-gen Dodge Viper, this Monte Carlo loses complete control and rolls. That’s not good, because this vehicle was stunning, even with its unimpressive paint job. The original Monte Carlo was available with a big block 454-cubic-inch V-8 making 360 hp, making it one of the greatest muscle cars of all time!
2.) RB-Swapped 1967 Ford Mustang
In the last scenes of “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,” Sean Boswell (played Lucas Black) drives a breathtaking 1967 Ford Mustang. This monster has a twin-turbo, 2.6-liter RB26 inline-six out of a Nissan Skyline GT-R. It’s no doubt a one-of-a-kind build, but the end result is pure power and muscle extraordinaire.
3.) 1970 Dodge Charger
At the conclusion of the first film, Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) races Brian O’Conner (played by the late Paul Walker) in his dad’s 1970 Dodge Charger, which hits 900 hp in the storyline. After just missing being struck by a freight train, the Charger collides with a truck and flips in the air. You would that it would knock the car out of the series, but it returns for films #4 and #5.
4.) Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
At the start of 2003’s “2 Fast 2 Furious,” Brian O’Conner drives a R34- generation Nissan Skyline GT-R in the film. He competes in a four-way street
race with the vehicle and ends up in a cop chase. The R34 returns in the fourth film and wows viewers with its speed and style.
5.) Honda S2000
In the second movie, Johnny Tran (played Rick Yune) drives a S2000 with an estimated “hundred grand under the hood” at Race Wars, where he wins
thanks to a strategically timed nitrous shot.
